On the face of this it is bad....but I'm also struggling to think of any signings from other clubs academies that have actually worked.
Liverpool and City both had this and simply made other arrangements (Bobby Duncan who signed for the RS was listed as unattached when everyone knew what was happening).

Oh yeh not saying I can’t see your point but just watching him in proper football vs kids football I just can’t see it. I mean he’s playing against like 18-year old forwards most weeks and in a league notorious for physicality ousting ability. I think he’ll have a decent career League One maybe even Championship. Rate Holgate much higher myself.
Be interesting to see if it’s a worldwide ban. Even if so it has its positives in us probably bringing through what we have at a younger age.

Everton u18s also play there 2nd game of the u18s premier league cup tomorrow v west brom at 11am,the 1st game we won 2-1 at Fulham,---if is was the league it would be basically top v bottom,remember before out last game we lost last min,west brom were the only team to stop us winning any game this season when we drew 3-3 at finch farm a month or so ago

...I always think this competition is a great indicator of having a truly top player or two. It’s very high profile and it’s about time we had a good run in it.

Going off the Blackburn twitter feed. Their keeper has made a couple of great saves and we’ve hit the woodwork twice.
