We stayed 1 point behind top in the u23s league,as the leaders Derby lost 1-0 home to man city tonight,while chelsea moved 3rd scoring 3 goals in last 11mins to come from 2 down home v west ham to win 3-2,Brighton with a win monday night would go level points with us but stay behind on GD,we now know a win v Derby next week will put us top

Under-23s' Clash With Bayern Munich To Be Streamed Live For Members

Everton Under-23s face German giants Bayern Munich Under-23s at Goodison Park on Wednesday night (kick-off 7pm) – and the game will be streamed LIVE for Official Members on evertonfc.com.

The young Blues take on Bayern in Premier League International Cup Group D. The competition sees 12 Premier League 2 sides face off against equivalent teams from elite European academies.

The Toffees have got off to an encouraging start in this year’s tournament.

They battled out a pulsating 2-2 draw at Brighton & Hove Albion before securing an impressive 2-0 victory over Portuguese side Benfica at Southport. A win over Bayern under the lights at Goodison would put David Unsworth's side in a strong position to qualify for the quarter-finals of the cup.

Indeed. Let’s not expect him to set the game on fire, I’m hoping for a performance from him that says he’s a better bet than Sambou and Mampala for future starts at U23s level. But secretly of course I’m hoping he bangs in a few goals and lighten up the gloom

Hope he gets 10 mate and starts Saturday against Man City and I sit there thinking "we've found ourselves the next Michael Branch"

Branch had a great game against Sheffield Wednesday once, nice 2-0 home win.

Great chance for him tonight though to basically say "yep I'm ready for u23 football" so hope he does well mate.
