Everton Youth Teams Thread

I think we have a good chance for the league again with some of the players at unsworths disposal.

I think (from reports in here) that theres a lot of highly promising players there.
I would think of it as a “Transitional “ season mate. Of that starting eleven we had 1x 17 year old, 6 x 18 year olds, 1 x19 yr old and 3 x 19 yr olds came off the bench, plus another 18 yr old and 2x 17 yr olds not involved. So we could literally have an U23s team of teenagers at the start of the season, but we won’t as not everybody will go out on loan and a few will be retained to add experience to the team . It is likely to be a young team though , so we have a good chance of doing well in the league again but maybe not win it. I think we’ll still be strong defensively, it will be interesting to see how the promising midfielders and attackers adapt to the move up to U23s .

Confirmed

Teenage Everton forward Korede Adedoyin has completed a season-long loan move to Hamilton Academical.
Adedoyin joined Everton aged 10 and signed his first professional contract with the Club earlier this month.
He scored 13 goals in 21 appearances for Paul Tait’s Everton Under-18 team last season.
The Nigeria-born player, 18, will spend the 2019/20 campaign with Hamilton, who finished 10th in last season’s Scottish Premiership.
Managed by former Nottingham Forest midfielder Brian Rice, Hamilton open their league campaign at Ross County on 3 August.

That's an exciting move and it says a lot that he has skipped the u23s and gone straight to first team football. I don't care what the league is if it is a full first team league it is better than the u23s.

How do we do our bet now @blueloon ? haha
Haha, as I said at the time mate, “ we’ll know”.
We may disagree about the SPL but this a great move for him, if he makes it into the Accies first team on a regular basis , and scores goals I’ll happily concede the bet and be made up for the kid, I hope he does really well. I’m impressed that he’s got this chance , somebody at Hamilton must have scouted him last season and saw his potential. I’d have thought the older , bigger and Scottish Fraser Hornby would have been a better bet. I just hope he doesn’t languish in the SPL Reserve League, but am assuming they’ve convinced Adedoyin and the club this won’t be the case.

Someone’s gonna have to start watching Accies games but it’s bloody not going to be me. Promising he’s being sent out at 18.

And the Virginia move to Reading is confirmed, along with Dowell to Derby. No Robinson in the squad to Switzerland, so maybe he’s off next. Astley, Gibson, Hornby, Beni and Adeniran still there though.
I'd imagine Robinson will go but even if it isn't imminent he doesn't need to travel as we have two LBs who are clearly a cut above for next year.

Hope he's first choice this season. I think he'll be challenging Pickford in the next couple of years myself.
Reading fans are convinced he will be Number 1,as one told me last week that the number 1 they had sam walker, was not that good, and i think he wont have left to be a sub myself, even though its the championship
