Everton v Red Bull Brasil 1pm ko tomorrow,
Anderlecht v Everton sat 9.30am ko,
Inter Milan v Everton 12.10pm

Finals,3rd/4th place play offs etc are sunday

Just for the record Jordan Pickford won the Goalkeeper of the Tournament award in 2011 playing for Sunderland ;) lol

In fairness we don't always know what goes on behind the scenes, but to use a bit of a weird analogy I think of them as missiles. You can either fire a missile and then guide it and make sure it hits the target. Or you can fire it and leave it to it's own devices. I've always felt that we do the latter with our youth loans and, in fairness, most of the press comments from the players themselves tend to back this up.

I agree that Joe Royle didn't seem to do anything in that role, or maybe that's just because he never did any press releases about anything. Do we even have a head of academy any more.? I get the impression that Brands hasn't had time to address the academy as yet and things are just plodding along at the moment.

Looks like my cup is half full and yours half empty then Nymz.

Must admit though, up until that last 5 months or so I had wondered why we bothered to spend so much on the lad. Think it was £1.5m initially rising to something silly. But we'll see how he does at Hull. I'm not sure how much game time he'll get. He went there early in the window, I suspect as a replacement for Bowen who they expected to sell. But as Bowen stayed I really can't see him getting much game time as he's by far their best player. He got 90 mins in the League cup in midweek and by all accounts played quite well.

Half empty? All I’m saying is he was anonymous most of the season haha - I never said he was bad. I actually thought he could have been an option on the right this season.
