Everton Youth Teams Thread

Everton u18s will be looking for 2 from 2 after there 2-1 come back win v Blackburn last week when they are back in action tomorrow afternoon with probably the Toughest, or one of them away games they will get, and only in the 2nd game, that is away to Man City u18s with a 2pm ko and its not On City website,

while Monday Everton u23s start the 1st of 4 home league games v Leicester with a 7pm ko and that is Live via Leicester website - It is just a free sign up or use details from last season if you have them, it may also be put via Leicester's twitter page as they seem to use both same time over the years, Leicester began last week with a 2-0 away win at Man utd

Unsworth sounds naive and just plain stupid here.

Theres so much wrong with his comments i just dont know how to comprehend it.

Naming players who should be sold at end of the article as those he wants to loan...again...when theyre nowhere near good enough or will ever be good enough for the first team.

Very disappointing.
I think he's just being pragmatic. Do any managers in any league openly discuss players they're trying to sell? By saying we don't want them, it instantly devalues them. Saying we're looking for loans for them is both true I expect and also a more subtle way of saying they're available for sale (at the right price).

As much as the academy is about creating players for the first team, it's also about making money for club and is a great help in the fight against FFP. So putting players with league experience in the shop window, even if we get a small fee for them at the end, is worth it. And if the worst happens and we just have to loan them out until their contracts run out, I expect these older players will be on the highest wages, another reason to put them in the shop window as often as possible.

Everton u18s team away to Man city u18s 2pm ko, [A chance to go top with a win]

Leban, Thompson, McAllister, Welch, Small, Higgins, Warrington, Price, Batterfield, Whitaker, Cannon,
Subs Lowey, Stewart, Mills, Kristensen, Kouyate

Man City u18s
Van Sas, Lewis, Charles, Doyle, Oduroh (c), Lavia, Hamilton, Griffiths, Sodje, Gyabi, Borges
Subs: Larios, McNamara, Breckin, Smith, Adam

Still 2-2 around 25 mins to go
Game ends 2-2 at Man City u18s - very decent point in another game that always provides goals galore between the 2-city rarely drop points, and this is only there 2nd draw in 17months - there last draw was also v Everton at Finch Farm

The Draw puts Everton u18s 4th level on points with city who are top on GD, we are home to Stoke u18s next saturday with an 11am ko

Good result that. Didn't they put 8 past us in pre-season?
