Everton Youth Teams Thread

Everton u23s beat Chelsea u23s 2-0 and move from 9th to 7th with there 1st win in 4 league games [Simms and Onyango with 2nd half goals], Everton u23s now play away to 2nd bottom Arsenal u23s a week friday at 7pm, and that game is NOT live anywhere unless Everton go and show it from London lol, Arsenal only got there 1st league win 2 days ago but it was a big one 6-0 away to Blackburn

Chelsea commentators, like everyone else, apart from Ancelotti are big fans of Gordon.
I ended up switching from Everton tv to Chelsea’s feed, nuff said. It’d be hard to disagree with their assessment of Gordon MoM.
Einar Iversen seems to get better every game, I’m not sure he has the physicality for the PL .. yet. Onyango too looking good , Nkounkou showing what he’s got, Branthwaite and Astley solid and Simms doing what he does best scoring goals. It’s just a relief to see an Everton win again.

Workmanlike, so Unsie will be pleased. Good on the break through Gordon and Nkounkou. Simms took his (only) chance well. Onyango a long way to go but definite potential.

I didn't see the whole game, but from what I did see (most of the second half) he didn't seem to involved, aside from the goal. How did he do the rest of the game?

I think that's more about the way we're set up to play; not seen a midfield player in u23s ping the ball around since Liam Walsh exited stage left. For example, Adeniran was distinctly underwhelming, one or two games apart, for us last year but is doing well at Wycombe. Onyango put in some good tackles, got up and down the pitch with a few forays into their box - remains to be seen how or whether he progresses.
