Everton Youth Teams Thread

I make you right in taking about his size. Looks probably 6ft/6 ft1 already, and as you say yet to turn 17. In general, despite bringing lots in we've never really brought a goalkeeper through. If Leban is pressing Tyrer for the 23's thats a real positive.
Jak Stewart is a big unit. 6ft 5+ already. Leban must be pushing as performing well and just been selected for Slovenia U21.

After Everton u17s made it through to the last 8 of the u17s premier league cup as group winners based on head to head in Jan, The other groups have now in effect been sorted with one game left which has no effect on who get's through - so i think the draw will be very soon

Teams through to final 8 are [One Legged Q/F]

Leicester City [Group A winners]
Aston Villa [Group B Winners]
Southampton [Group C Winners]
Blackburn Rovers [Group D Winners]
Middlesbrough [Group E Winners]
Everton [Group F Winners]
Brighton [Group G Winners]
Leeds qualify [as the best 2nd placed team from all the 7 Groups for the simple reason they had a better GD than other 2nd placed teams with same points]

Honestly he's huge. He towers over the other boys who are 6ft 2. Hagan probably comes in around 5ft 10ish. Just mentioning it as that has been commented on here
There was a match last season with an Everton bench standing up, and one guy was literally head and shoulders taller than the rest , I thought then it was Jak Stewart , as his name had been noted as a sub On a limited team sheet. He certainly looks way taller than the average defender .

Some great touches from Onyango in that clip, winning the ball and then getting on the end of Dobbin’s pass to score the first then starting the move that lead to the 2nd . A bit of poor defending for the goals, to be expected at this level I guess, Unsworth would sort
Talking of giant youngsters, there’s an interesting clip at the end of our dugout and a young player stepping out I don’t recognise who also looks about 6foot 3 ins.Im guessing its Jak Stewart the bench goalie who’s still a schoolboy.
This was the post I meant , March 2020, u18 game so he’d have been 15 then .

I was a bit surprised to see no Onyango in the England U18 squad and no Branthwaite in the U19 squad , but “ rival” Harwood-Bellis is there .
Although we do have two youngsters in the England u21 squad for the Euro finals this month, Tom Davies and Ben Godfrey!

Really enjoyed watching that. Thanks for putting up the link.Very impressed with Whittaker. Always looking to drop into space to be available, excellent touch, can see and play a pass with great weight. A proper number 10. Onyango really does get through some work, he never stops running. And can see why people are mentioning Price, seems to have a bit of everything.

Will they miss any games for us playing in that?

I’m not sure, I believe it’s all in the International break, there’s a number of PL players , Jones, Greenwood, Brewster, CHO Included, don’t imagine they’d let them play if they were missing games. Here’s details.

Is that just the group games and then knock out at end of the season?
