Everton are weighing up a move for American starlet Camden Buescher after the forward enjoyed a trial period with the club.
The Under 17 forward currently plays for the Pacesetter academy in Ohio and he is understood to have been spotted by Everton scout Jim Barron - the former Wolves and Aston Villa assistant manager - during the Pacesetter English Premier League soccer camp earlier this year.
It is believed that Buescher trained with the Everton youth teams during his ten day trial at Goodison Park, although his hopes were hampered after picking up an ankle injury on just his second day on Merseyside.

Nonetheless, Buescher was lavishly treated by his hosts and he was introduced to all aspects of the club.
The young American was in attendance as Everton Under 16’s faced Newcastle last week and he ended his time with the club by watching on as the first team demolished Stoke 4-0 at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Buescher is still a student at St John’s Jesuit High School and the trial was organised so as to coincide with the Thanksgiving school vacation period in the USA.
Buescher returned to the United States on Sunday but Sportsmail understands that academy chiefs remain keen on the striker and were impressed by both his enthusiasm and talent.

"I am very excited about the trip and am looking forward to the opportunity", said Buescher. "I watch the Premier League each weekend and to get the opportunity to have a try-out with a famous club like Everton is a huge honor".

Pacesetter Executive Director Jimmy Walker said, "Camden is a fantastic young man and a very talented player. It's a great chance for him. He is as good as any U17 player I have seen in the last few years. The opportunity our local EPL Camp presents to players in Northwest Ohio is fantastic. Without this, Camden would not be going to Everton in a few weeks."
