Before the announcement the majority of Evertonians wouldn’t havea clue about Steinsson ,Purdy and their roles , but it seems Benitez now has complete control over transfers. As this is the Youth Thread,the worrying implication is that for the next 9 months we’re unlikely to sign any youth players and will remain on the sidelines while talented youngsters on the market go elsewhere. Although it could be argued we’ve been on the sidelines for the last few years anyway ?
