Everton Youth Teams Thread

Id rather, specifically Mills, Warrington and Dobbin where on the bench with this new subs rule to give them game time and develop with the squad. I know mens football is different, but Mills seems to have kicked on again, Warrington I imagine might get a bit of game time - Dobbin is the one I would like to see more time and I think he will end up on loan.

Loans are so hard to get right, club wise and everything else - youngsters need to get and take their chance, think Lampard might give them that.

Rather that then 2 GK on the bench, which is ludicrous.
Having a young player on the bench only works for a length of time, they really need to be on the pitch.

How many games this season will we be comfortable enough to take off an experienced player and give one of the young lads a turn ?

All young players have a learning curve and if their mistakes result in us dropping points they will quickly fall out of favour with fans and manager.

Frank Lampard is fighting for his managerial career, he has to pick the team that will get results.

Does anyone know how to watch the game tonight
It’s a bit early yet , this season the club only seem to acknowledge there’s even a match on until about 15 mins before kick off, but if you can get along to Southport’s Pure Stadium for a 7 o clock kick off you’ll get in. I’m presuming though your wondering if the game will be live streamed , probably not , in previous seasons its been announced a few days in advance , sometimes with access for all sometime just for Season ticket holders / Members. But , watch this space sometimes the away team provide a stream.

…he’s a terrific professional & a terrific club captain. Might struggle to get on the team sheet ahead of Stan Mills tonight. :D
Naw , Stanley has made that right mid position his own . Tait pre match “ Right Seamus, don’t overdo it and same instructions to you as I gave the other lads - when you get close to the halfway line , give the the ball to Stan , he’ll do the rest “ ?

I know Onyango is off on loan to Burton Albion.

But is there any positivity around him coming back next summer and being part of the first team squad?

He and Onana of course at 6'5 each may be physically difficult for opposition midfields to handle.

…my own (strongly & fairly opposed view on here) is that it’s not a good sign for his future at Everton that he’s gone on loan. Saying that, they will have known the plan was to bring Onana in, so only time will tell if Onyango has what it takes to make the step up.
