Both ISS and Sherif turn 17 next month so we’ll be looking to tie them both down to their first pro contracts. Not to preempt anything but i posted in 'contracts' thread we have 19 players out of contract this+next summer...then 17 remaining under contract.

These two will be around 19 years old then and could be squad players.

Big opportunities.

Well yes , but it’s a big “COULD” . Few players make regular PL squads at 19 , usually they are exceptional plus they‘re at a club with good players around them and in a position to promote youngsters. I worry about our club’s position to be able to promote them compared to other clubs. At 16 they’re both doing fine in their first full time season, but a long way to go still.
 


….first game in tournament football is always the most difficult but the defending for that 2nd goal from the free kick was dreadful. Players not even watching the ball as it was about to be taken. Basics.
