Everton Youth Teams Thread

Honestly not too bothered about results at the U21's and below as long as there is a structure, good recruitment and a couple good players coming through to the first team.

I know we habe been a bit of a shambles previously but supposedly made some changes under Thelwell and got that Saints guy Rice in who Newcastle wanted this summer.

Can anyone who watches regularly see improvements anywhere in the coaching/recruitment/structure etc or has not much changed?

3 chances to put a decent ball in and each one hitting the first man lol
Ready for the first team then...
Tge whole purpose of the Academy, warrants a question.

On the rare occasion, Everton sell one of these players, its normally a small fee, relatively. Never over 10M, yet other clubs sell for over 10M.

For Isaac Pryce, Everon got £300k for the cost of his development.
Partly due to he turned down a new contract to further his career and get game time. Good luck to him at Standard Liege, on the pitch, and coping with ownership by 777.

👍👏👏Agreed. Hopefully their season started last night.

Just sold Gordon for £40m, Cannon £7m and Simms £8m eventually

it’s pretty much keeping the club running atm
Add fees for Small (up to £5m?) and Samuels-Smith to that. Barkley £15m (should have been £35m), Rodwell £12m. Not loads, but 6/7 decent fees in 12/13 years is not as bad as some ppl make out. Not the same as Chelsea/City/Lpool get, but then they can attract/steal the best talents early on, so what do ppl expect?
