I think John left quite early , never made it to the Scholar stage , and as you say moved around the lower leagues scoring goals. He was at Wrexham for a while.

They have done it for a year odd now. They did seem to get rid of the rule for a few weeks. but went same right after it. It came with the new tv deal i think. which was a very odd thing to not show u21s/u23s games when a prem game is on
