Because even if that's likely to be true, don't say it publicly. Keep it in house and do something about it.

We are a rubbish team. Good talented young players should fancy getting into this team so that should be our selling point right now.

It also depresses the value of any we might seek to move on. Just a weird thing for a manager to be saying.

He is however sadly correct, the quality of the academy is, in common with most other football related operations at this club, a bit of a shambles currently. We used to be the go-to academy in the region. The decline is depressing.

Tbf so does Paul Tait clearly. A second year scholar who's scored about 5 weeks in a row

Honestly prob true alot need a good loan out but will never agree with him using two gk on the bench.

I just think with all the other issues out of our hands, having a steady production line is actually something we can control. I do look enviously at that other clubs with home grown talent

I disagree. Didn't City sign one of our top young talents for peanuts.

Ebere simply has to play vs Wolves next Friday. There's no excuse for him to be in the 18s any longer when we're fielding Armstrong out of position for the 21s

It's harsh but it's true, our academy is shocking, if it was actually maintained a bit more the past 8 years we'd not have these financial issues.

Our academy is the only reason our financial issues aren't even worse.

Everton U15’s in PL International Cup, in a group with Sporting Lisbon, Arsenal and WBA.

Drew 2-2 with Arsenal, beat WBA 3-1. Not sure how it works with who goes through but 3 groups of 4, with likes of Bayern, PSV, Chelsea and Villa in other groups.

They’ve beaten Sporting Lisbon 3-0, and are through to the Semi-Finals
