Everton Youth Teams Thread

No Omari Benjamin in the squad tonight. Could be an outsider for the squad Saturday.
Been in training with the first team. ;)
Benjamin has looked really sharp the last few games , nice to see him with the first team even if it doesn’t lead to actual minutes, it’s a good start for him .

Came through the youth setup at Arsenal. Seen as a bit of a coup when we signed him up wasn't it? certainly started off strongly, as has young Brayden Graham in the u18's.
.

It would be a real good pulling factor for future moves like this if we can use him as an example of someone leaving a bigger clubs academy and getting into a first team

Indeed , not just Benjamin but also Graham , Cieran Loney and Demi Akarakiri who also joined us from Arsenal but as a Scholar having trained with their u18s. It appears Akarakiri wasn’t offered a Scholarship with Arsenal as we were linked with signing him back in April, but he was on the radar of a number of clubs. It puts a positive take on our recruitment policy and hopefully our ability to convert them into PL/EFL players..

Was at the game at Needham Market last night with one of my lads and a few others from the East Anglian Toffees supporters club. Travelled down as was only a 70 min drive for me.

Weather was absolutely atrocious for the first half, was half expecting it to be called off before KO. Second half was actually a nice mild evening 😄.

Had a little chat with Callum Bates as the subs were warming up. Apparently we had a few injuries so I think a few of the 18s were playing.

As Ipswich’s third went in I laughed and said you must all be ready for the first team with this inability to hold onto a lead.

Jack Butler at LB made some good overlaps, something I haven’t seen a first team full-back do in a while.

Sheriff up top had a good battle with their number 4 who was absolutely ‘kin massive, and scored a couple of nice goals, but should really have had a couple more.

Beaumont-Clarke’s goal was lovely finish from distance.
