Even if they were, no excuse IMO. These lads want to play in the PL one day.
Our aggressive 4-2-4 shape probably isn't helping. Sociedad lost all 5 games so at least we're not that bad.
Getting beat 5 -2 whomever thought this line up up needs to get a job outside Football.
We basically lose it every time we go into the midfield.

5-3 in the end . It was hard to see in the dark but I believe Roberts scored the first after good work by Akariki , 2nd was a fine effort by Akariki , 3rd was a penalty last kick of the match by I think Roberts . Akariki was the pick of the bunch for me , box to box and can score goals.
It’s a horrible scoreline but that’s their 5th game in 6 days , a defence without a recognised CB today, players playing out of position. I think overall it’s great experience for these kids, an intensive schedule, many being asked to play in new positions and hopefully some team bonding and cohesion.

With our younger right back Rocco Lambert we may one day get a team sheet allowing some “ Lambert & Butler” jokes .

That first picture gives us a very clear confirmation that 17 was Poland and 5 was Finney. Better late than never I suppose.

Yep , I think so too , it looks like the guy next to Wren is Pita and the others I’ve got , I think. Just need a name, I’m sure that will come if he remains with us.
For those interested, there was a final game in the K League tournament today, the group winners faced each other as Espanyol beat Busan 3-0 to take home the trophy.
