Boca 0-1 Benfica in the other group, just kicked off second half -- getting a bit concerned for tomorrow as I can't find any legitimate links
Can't see anything there mate, but thanks !?!
Finished 2-0 to Santos, it was closer than the scoreline shows though, a cracking solo goal and an o.g separated the sides. Everton's set up was very fluid, played a kind of 4-3-3/diamond 4-1-2-1-2 with Liam Walsh playing the Barry/Gibson role picking the ball up from the back with Tom Davies and Harry Charsley playing box to box. Kieran Dowell played as a AM/ false 9 role and Callum Dyson and Delial Brewster played LWF and RWF they both remained pretty high up the pitch most of the game with Dowell dropping back to link with the midfield. Disappointing to loose the game but you could see they were playing the game the right way, everything was played out from the back, I can't remember any long balls hit forward it was nearly always passed around at the back by the defence and then collected by Walsh to carry or pass the ball forward. The Santos team were technically good as you'd expect and dived and rolled around a lot as you'd also expect, our lads although they didn't deserve to win weren't played off the park.
Right that's my sensible post for the day, back to the transfer thread to post some drivel.

Santos were far superior and should have won by a bigger margin imo. Especially in the first half they could have led 3/4-0. They were better in every department and Everton were parked on their own half. I missed the last 20 mins of the match so I cannot judge on that.
