Everton Youth Teams Thread

....if we can get 1 coming through each year that will be great. Hear the reds fans talking about their junior sides but at the end of the day very few come through. That's what its about and we have Ledson and Kenny already making an impression in that group.
What do you know of Connolly Eggs? Saw he was with the England squad but don't think I'd heard of him before.

Callum Connolly’s first-ever England goals helped fire his side to a 3-1 victory over Holland at the JD Stadium in Bury on a night the Everton youngster will never forget.

Having pounced on a loose ball in the first half, the left-back found himself in the box again late on as he sealed his brace, that coming after Dominic Solanke had grabbed a second for the Three Lions in a brilliant performance by Neil Dewsnip’s side.
..
Some tough tackles were going in early, Ledson and Jonjoe Kenny, moved from his usual position of full-back into midfield, stamping their authority early on. And it was Kenny who created the first chance of the match on seven minutes, as his 30-yard pass pierced the Dutch defence and sent Armstrong away. The Newcastle striker saw his strike saved by the goalkeeper, and Solanke’s follow-up was blocked on the line.

...just tuned in, game finished 1-1.
Was a good game, we even had a penalty saved, a shot that hit the woodwork and Galloway (who was switched to LB after about 60mins) made a good run into the box and looked like he might score before the keeper made a good tackle. Overall a fun game to watch, especially since they were away to Germany. Unfortunately cannot see the senior's game tomight being anywhere near as good.

Really want us to buy Gomez btw, everytime I see him play he is excellent and seemed to work well with Galloway.

.....he does look good Gomez. So you were impressed with Galloway?

First time I've seen him and it is hard to judge a player on one game but he looked very comfortable on the ball.

Similar to Stones in that he made a couple of positional errors, needs to bulk up a bit and sometimes tried to play the ball out too much but overall thought he looked good especially against such tough opponents. He seemed to have a decent turn of pace when he was moved out to LB as well.

.....yep, the thing I noticed in the few clips I've seen is that he looks very swift. Looking forward to seeing Connolly's brace, I'm sure there will be a You Tube of the goals.
