I know some people mock the u23's and say it doesn't matter and in the grand scheme of things maybe it doesn't. But personally I think it's only a good thing if players get a winning mentality and I've always enjoyed Unsworth bigging up Everton Football Club and talking about the players needing to be winners and anything less isn't acceptable.

They got it absolutely spot on this season as in promoting, loaning and recruiting so massive credit to all concerned.

Congrats to Unsy and the u23's (not forgetting Oumar) on a great campaign that saw us out perform some other teams that put vast resources into their youth.
Bodes well for the future. Hope to see more of them get a chance in the first team before season end.

How many games did he play and might he qualify for a medal ?
