Sharpys top lip

Player Valuation: £60m
Former Derby County boss Billy Davies is in line to join Everton as manager Dave Moyes' No2.

Moyes, whose side pursue their Champions League ambitions at Sunderland today, has been working without a No2 since Alan Irvine left to manage Preston in November.

I think this would be a great appointment, They are both firm friends so the trust thing is their right away. I have always heard good things about davis as a coach. Things did'nt work out as a No.1 but maybe as a No.2 he can start his magic again.

Now before we get to excited this artical has come from the Anti-christ that is triblefootball.com so this could just be utter [Poor language removed]. As most things from there are.

What do you think??

i cant really comment as i never paid any attention to how derby played.
did they try and play attractive football? if so i would say yes as you play like you train so obviousley we spend most of our time in training hooffing long for the forwards to chase.

we need someone to bring atractive football (not just in little spells)

I'd be content with Billy Davies as our #2 .He did a good job at Preston, took Derby up before being shafted by their board, if true then it could turn out to be a master stroke appointment .

Agreed, id be happy to see it. The man got Preston to the playoffs two seasons in a row (look at them now!) then guided Derby (who only just avoided relegation the season before) into to Premiership in one year.
Obviously things didnt turn out well there, but im pretty sure that had more to do with Derby sucking ass as a team than his ineptitude as a manager. Plus the strong friendship can only help matters. I know its just a rumour at the moment but we could do a hell of a lot worse!

I'd find the tribal football DNA and permanently delete it from the face of the earth. Other than that, Davies as a no 2 would be OK with me as attractive, attacking football seams to be in his blood.

Far from a bad choice. Just surprises me that he is content with being an assistant. Good appointment if it happens

Fair enough he might of done a good job in his managerial career so far but is he really what we need from a number 2 when pushing to break into the top 4 and do well in Europe?

i think he would do a good job at number 2 but if another club came in for him witch would be likly as wot he has achived in the chapionship he would jump at the chance so i think we should look for some1 long term.

I would have reservations about taking a Scot that has only been a success at Preston with a tight budget. I don't think anyone with those credentials could prove successful at EFC.

why would moyes want a number 2 when he's rumoured to be leaving in the summer anyway...seriously though,i think billy davies would want to be appointed as a manager again

Seems a strange one to me, why would Davies go backwards in his career and take a #2 job? Cant see it to be honest
