Prior to going wide there Verstappen had been losing 2 tenths every lap at turn 11, clearly not enjoying that corner

Melbourne is not a normal track so cant judge performance too much but this is utter domination from McLaren.

As good as Max is he ain't winning the title if this is the actual performance difference.

Might have a repeat of Ham v Rosberg in 2016

Cheek on McLaren telling Oscar not to fight for position in the first race of the season when he's clearly faster.

Now he's run wide and is 3 seconds behind. I'd be fuming if I were him - he'd be first already if all things were fair.

McLaren tell us you've got a clear number one driver without telling us you've got a clear number one driver.

It's worked out perfectly for Norris, no more undercut threat and out in P1 - race over unless he makes a soft mistake. Shame for Piastri, you don't expect your team to work against you.

It's been a shambles how long it's taken to remove crashed cars from the circuit today. 4 laps before the recovery vehicle even arrived at the Aston Martin. Expecting another 5 laps behind the safety car here. We'll have had about 25% of the race behind the SC.

Kin shambolic. Disgraceful how long it took there to remove one single car from the circuit. If the place isn't able to have cranes and regular recovery equipment then it shouldn't be hosting grand prix.
