I’d like to see us arrive at a key cup game for once with a mostly fit team.

Goodison park with DCL Richarlison Gray Doucoure Allan Mina all playing, I’d fancy us to take advantage of any of the top 6 especially if their focus is maybe on other comps.

Too many times though we end up drawing then away from home and turning up with half a team against their full strength sides.

It wouldn’t matter if we did have a full squad to pick from, fat kecks won’t be playing a full strength team in the cup cos he’s prioritising the relegation battle he’s dragged us into

If we get a home tie after Brentford we are in serious business in this competition.

I think if this club gets its teeth into the FA Cup and avoids 3rd or 4th round defeats we always stand a very decent chance of going all the way or nearly all the way.

IIRC we have most appearances in the SFs of the FA Cup?

Used to hold it with 26, but United and Arsenal have overtaken us to 30 in recent years.

Last time I followed an FA cup draw live it was on the radio, Monday at 12.30, from Lancaster Gate.

And now they have 2 unknown women fronting the draw, fa cup means nowt to the fa now.

That was the case right up to the middle of the ‘90s, Dave.

We have only made three since 1995 so I imagine Arsenal and probably United have overtaken us by now.

No. Tbh I know they have a few herberts but their core support is sound. A good blue collar south London club who do a lot in their community. They hate us second only to West Ham and a lot of Palace (me included) grew up with this as the derby game. We hate them because their our rivals, not like Brighton who are clacker wielding mutants with no redeeming features whatever.

This deserves much more appreciation than it got. lol
