Boreham Wood FC wish to thank our 5th Round opponents Everton FC for contacting our little Football Club this week, offering to buy the team our commemorative playing kit for our very special Emirates FA Cup last 16 game at Goodison Park on Thursday 3rd March.
When ours and Everton’s Kit Managers realised that our all white kit would clash with the Toffee’s white shorts and socks, and when we thought our all sky blue away kit might be too close of a colour match with their famous royal blue shirts, it was agreed by both clubs that we would purchase a special edition all black third kit to wear on the evening.
Without any prompting from ourselves, Everton FC’s Secretary approached our Club Secretary Dell Ward this week to tell him that they have decided to pay for the cost of our new kit themselves. We are so very humble and grateful that a sporting institution as big as Everton Football Club still recognises the issues and costs that the smaller clubs like ourselves experience, who try our very best to compete as high up the English football pyramid as we possibly can despite challenges.
Thank you so much Everton Football Club for what is simply a very classy gesture, you really are the People’s Club. Thank you again.

To be fair it is very classy of Everton but you have no chance of beating us 10 - 0
I will be in the Brick pub with my Everton pals before K.O. come and see us and I will buy you a pint.
Mate, you’d probably get a game for them if you asked..That FA cup kit is actually really nice, do you think it’s going to go on general sale? Do you think there would be many who bought it? To be honest if it meant supporting a lower league team I’d buy it for 5 aside
A nice gesture, a proper gesture would be to give give them all the gate and tv money.
