FA cup 5th round draw

Lets be honest we're already in the Quarter Finals barring the biggest cupset in history.

Just got to pray we get a home quarter draw and can keep DCL, Richarlison, Gray, Gordon & Doucoure fit from now until the seasons end as a bit of luck in the draw and we are going to Wembley.
ITV aren't coming to Goodison for a cakewalk. I wonder what it is about Michael Keane, Mason Holgate, Alex Iwobi, and our penalty shoot-out record that convinces them that a night of slapstick entertainment and hilarity is a distinct possibility.

With that opposition we were always going to be on TV, of course the TV company would love it if they score first, it’s a great story for them and keeps the neutrals watching. They don’t want us to be 3-0 up at half time, because people will switch off. It would be the same if Boreham Wood were playing any of the established premier league teams. It’s not a specific Everton thing.

The difference being, though, that if it were Liverpool v Boreham Wood, ITV would be coming for a night of patronising the minnows at a cathedral of football and a 7-0 hiding. With us, they are coming for the very slight but real possibility of a shock. And they'd be right.

Ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha -

The cup tie is a no win match. Either the biggest cup upset in history or we'll you should beat them. All we can do is be professional get the job done. Best thing is we go through, Borehamwood have a good game, enjoy the day out and get clapped off the field by both sets of fans.

Boreham Wood FC wish to thank our 5th Round opponents Everton FC for contacting our little Football Club this week, offering to buy the team our commemorative playing kit for our very special Emirates FA Cup last 16 game at Goodison Park on Thursday 3rd March.

When ours and Everton’s Kit Managers realised that our all white kit would clash with the Toffee’s white shorts and socks, and when we thought our all sky blue away kit might be too close of a colour match with their famous royal blue shirts, it was agreed by both clubs that we would purchase a special edition all black third kit to wear on the evening.

Without any prompting from ourselves, Everton FC’s Secretary approached our Club Secretary Dell Ward this week to tell him that they have decided to pay for the cost of our new kit themselves. We are so very humble and grateful that a sporting institution as big as Everton Football Club still recognises the issues and costs that the smaller clubs like ourselves experience, who try our very best to compete as high up the English football pyramid as we possibly can despite challenges.

Thank you so much Everton Football Club for what is simply a very classy gesture, you really are the People’s Club. Thank you again.

Head patting Everton..

Nice to see.

Is this what the tories meant about levelling up ? Northerners subsidise Southern clubs who's supporters would likely sing derogatory songs about scouse unemployment
