FA Cup Final

I've yet to see a crowd not celebrate a goal. When it happens I'll be concerned.

You don't get to many games then.
Before it all got cancelled pretty much every time we scored I'd be standing there waiting for the var review. People still celebrating to an extent but it takes something away from it.

Its utter junk. Everyone I know who goes to the game hates it. All the lads I know who've got season tickets at lower league clubs hate it. Everyone I play with hates it.

They are a London team, so they are defo cockneys.

haha. You're a cockney if you're born in a certain part of the East end (sound of bow bells).

Calling a Chelsea fan cockney is like calling someone born on the Wirral a scouser.

West Ham are the only cockney team in the prem (although alot of their latest generation of fans are prob born in Essex because alot of people have moved out that way from London)

Fwiw as soon as they froze the screen I said offside. I know it ends up being ultra thin but it just looked off to me
Honestly my initial reaction was offside but I’d still prefer the linesman just made a decision within 10 seconds, knowing VAR was going to look at it just made the whole goal “meh”

I don’t.

My feeling is that if done right replay could get rid of the constant going on about this call and that call and we could just focus on the play. Nothing is more annoying than outplaying a team but spending the whole post game on was that goal really good. The problem of course is VAR hasn't solved this. It is like controversy is too ingrained in the culture of football for people to let it go. I accept that it will need to take a better system for that to happen but it seems like people don't even want it. They'd rather lose games for offside goals or handballs counting than have a different sport in any way and no controversies of these types is different.

Well you said you'd be concerned if it was stopping fans celebrate. It isn't stopping them - but its limiting it. And its seriously ruining the enjoyment of the game for people who spend a alot of money and time following it. To the point where life long fans are seriously considering stopping going to the game.

And yes you are right. People don't want it :)

Leicester are an example to all of us pushing to break the so called big six stranglehold on the game.

They've invested wisely and made the right changes at the right time.

So frustrating that we've not been able to do the same, despite the serious backing from Moshiri...

I just can't imagining stopping enjoying a sport because they want to enforce the rules correctly.

The thing is the rules are trash - we've gone over this before but a players nosehair being offside gives the attacker no advantage therefore fans would rather no VAR than a VAR that enforces crappy rules.

Even with VAR its a con see Mings challenge and the handball against WHU.

Well yes it needs to actually work to be worthwhile.

Change the rules then. Offside has always been tight it's just that often calls were wrong on both sides. This advantage thing may be what the rule was for but it was never written like that as far as I know.
