A better ref and we might have won five or six - two
A better manager and we might not have conceded from yet another set piece 45 seconds into the game despite playing 5 defenders and needed to call for referees to give decisions in our favour to get past a team at the bottom end of the 2nd division who've won 6 games all season...

A win is a win is a win. We are in the hat and there would be a school of thought that would say that is all that matters in a cup match. However we have just watched a newly promoted Championship team, and a team who may well be back in the third level of football boss us for long periods of the game. Tom Huddlestone rolled back the years given we allowed him the freedom of the park. Some of their players preformed better than ours.
We started very poorly and could have been two down before we got to grips with things. We then went 2-1 up and went negative which allows them back into it.
I have seen nothing today that gives me any hope that up against a Premier League team those tactics will see us win. Indeed if I was a manager of a Premier League team who were playing us and I was allowed to pick Everton’s tactics I would ask them to go 5 at the back.
How was Rondon allowed to stay on the pitch for so long.

I thought young Tony Gordon had another good game, two goals last week, an assist tonight. Maybe the people who have been moaning and saying the kid has no end product, might cut him a bit of slack now, I thought our new left back looked a bit out of his depth there Tonight, but, early days yet.

Kenny is so poor that I think Patterson has an easier task integrating into the team, people will tend to compare Mykolenko with Digne, Patterson will only have the 2022 version of the once excellent Seamus Coleman and JJK to live up to.

Anyway Everton for the cup.
Gordon is gonna be mustard for us, gets better each game. Really like what I see...end product will come

I'll keep my glass half full attitude thanks, you just keep sucking them lemons ;)

No away fans were allowed to bring rifles?

In normal years I’d just shrug my shoulders at today and just be glad we avoided a slip up and we are in the next round. But he needs to get us playing and resembling something of a functioning team. We are still miles off that on todays evidence and we are back to facing better quality in the league now. Worrying times.

Oh my glass is most definitely empty, refilled and almost empty again after watching us get played about by an arse-end championship team.

(plus, I'm more of a lime man myself). ?

Another game where he could easily have had a couple. Great that he's getting into those positions now, taking responsibility.

Him and Gray have definitely got a bit of football chemistry between them.
As I said earlier both refuse to pass to Rondon, constantly look for each other

Well we beat just, a championship team all credit to the players who tried. Subbings were dreadful the players taken off and that waste Rondon left on till near the end to be replaced by the other waste Tosun.

For me MOM Gray and closely followed by Gordon. Mykolenko not bad for forst game will get better. Worst play if we had poll was Rondon.

WE still need to be rid of FSW.

Any win away from home in the cup is difficult.

That game was an absolute banana-skin avoided. BBC and whole country wanted a Hull win.
