Problem is this fella is a sick note. I was really optimistic about him signing, massive let down.

Sadly he’s brought his city form to the club - time on the treatment table as opposed to time on the pitch. Why sanction the purchase of such an injury prone player is beyond me.
We do have a run of injuries not just general midfield but in particular defensive midfield, all 3 out currently. Myself, never saw Delph having more than 20 appearances in a season, hence the low transfer fee in the wider context of fees.

I appreciate what your saying but he’s no good to the team on the treatment table. Many questioned the purchase and his salary due to his injury record, those doubters (me included) remain.

What's point of him

What does he do?
Well he is a midfielder and did not get injured...we played more through midfield today and less direct and we needed to to that as clearly direct football is not sustainable long term...did ok but hopefully more to come as he is building his fitness.

Thought he was poor considering we looked to him to dictate our pace and play. Overall he's been underwhelming so far, offers very little. On paper it seemed a sensible signing but his complete lack of quality after spending time with Pep and that City side defies belief.

Sounds harsh considering some of the turd in this team but I honestly expected more.

Looked the most composed out of our midfield today, surprised he came off tbh

I expect it was fitness related easing him back in, but he was comfortable on the ball and a few times turned away from a couple of players taking them out of the game.

He's not a star and he isn't going to be the difference if the rest are garbage, but does a tidy job.
