He had a lot to say in the dressing room in the City documentary, I remember thinking it all seemed a bit false, you have all those top class players there & then you have him there running his mouth like he's some sort of authority, just didn't seem right a player of his quality acting superior towards world class players.

He was signed by City for their English quota, a cheap squad filler, he was a last resort at left back when City won the league under Guardiola, a sack of rotten spuds could've played at left back in that City team & they still would've p i s s e d the league yet the impression he gives is that he was an integral part of Citys success.
His response will be look at city now

If I was still there we would be top of the league

It's amazing that someone as crap as him has the balls to question the tactics of a manager who has forgotten more about football than Delph ever knew. Always knew he was a snide little rat going back to they way he left Villa.

You're right, but it's even more basic than that really. The issue is that we're not winning.

People always say they want winners and leaders and certain mentalities, but it only actually means anything when you get results. If we'd won our last two and so were unbeaten in 7/8 or whatever it would be, Delph having a go at Holgate would be evidence of him being a winner, but because we haven't it's evidence of a poor attitude. The same happens all the time. Get sent off for losing your rag in a bad run and it's petulant, childish behaviour showing a lack of discipline within the club. Get sent off for losing your rag during a good run and it's evidence of how much you care and shows that you just hate losing.

These things are - in the main - fake constructs. There are great leaders of course, but as a general rule what people class as a winning mentality or great captaincy is based solely on how things are going at the time.

Delph isn't a winner, he's a fake. He came on (or may have started) against Bournemouth, played awful and started screaming at people. He was one of the worst players that day. Being a winner doesn't mean turning round an demanding more of others when you are playing poorly yourself. If it was encouragement and head up, fair enough. It's similar with Pickford - Make a mistake yourself, laugh it off... Someone else makes a mistake, lay into them.

One minute he's playing alongside Aguero and De Bruyne, and he's now got Naisse and Schneiderlin.

Can you blame him for having the hump?

Ancelotti made it worse for himself when he came out an praised him after the Newcastle game, saying he could take the ball under pressure because he's used to it. He clearly didnt know Delphs true level of ability, but I'm sure he's more than aware now.

My point was more that I don’t really believe anybody is ‘a winner’ but certain behaviours are lauded if things are going well and not if they aren’t.

I know or assume I'm jumping on the bandwagon, but what an unimpressive signing this has proven to be. You only had to watch him for a England to see he can't pass. Standing there in loads of space for City and passing it to De Bruyne, Bernado et al doesn't make you a player. Unbelievable to difference in signing someone like Barry compared to this joker.

He can stand there an talk about medals all he wants, it doesn't mean he is or ever has been a good footballer (at professional level). He's at best solid, who seized with both hands the opportunity that was offered to him. Instead of realising that, he acts like he's a star player. Holgate shouldnt be afraid of him in the slightest. They are at worst equals.

Holgate has the potential to be a much better player. Can tackle, pass and has pace.

This has shown how truly poisonous the whole club has become and I would say this has been the case for years but only now are fans getting onto it. The club has hid behind crap managers but now they have a truly world class manager there is nowhere for them to hide.

You know what I would rather us get relegated and get rid of the cancers at the club and start to build again than allow this poisonous cancer to continue to fester within the club.

I think it’s no harm if they all don’t all get along all the time.

It’s been too nice with an emphasis on ‘happy camp’ for too long. They don’t have to get along, there should be friction if they’re all pushing one another.

Keane and schmeichel Didn’t get on

Did he really question the manager's tactics?
