Fabian Delph

I can see him getting a contract extension for a year but it’d have to be on either less money or a pay as you play kind of thing. When he’s fit he’s a huge asset to the squad but it’s felt like at times he’s definitely taken the piss about how injured he really is. If you could rely on him for 25 games a season he’s worth having in the squad.
First things first, only our medical staff know what's been going on with the guy and his repeated problems. If they think he has it in him to play 25 games a season going forward there's a conversation to be had with him I guess because he offers composure and experience most others lack. The terms obviously would have to be greatly reduced and he would have to accept that, but we don't need to match what he's on now, just what he'd be offered elsewhere.

It's good to see Fabian Delph put a few games together, let's hope his injury woes are in the past now and he can end the season strong. The guy may even get a contract extension out of it.

Neat and tidy, kept the ball moving and no big errors - so it's a well done from me.
One error, but I will forgive, wouldn’t have if yerry didn’t put that block in! But saying that the ball played into him by iwobi would have haunted me all summer

I wouldn't.

Sends out the wrong message to me if players are getting contract extensions for turning up in seasons from mid April. And people on here will be scratching their heads this time next year wondering why club is in similar position.

Would people be up for just offering Gomes a new deal if he'd come back in and done similar?

Thank him for him playing a small part in avoiding the apocalypse and move him on.

If he wasn't so injury prone he'd still be at City. A very accomplished player with a body that won't stand the rigours of professional football. Can't see who would take a chance on him next, unless on a very cheap pay as you play deal.
