I went with no. If people think that lack of experience at to level is a problem with Rooney, this guy has only managed at levels far below the championship. Too much of a gamble for me.

Too much of a wildcard and too risky to have any sense of logic to it.

Bit disingenuous

I would honestly not call China and Saudi Arabia professional leagues. We’ve seen the standard of a player from those leagues with Rondon. Think a team like Preston would absolutely batter Guangzhou Evergrande.

I think its difficult to judge, but im not convinced that getting some decent results with derby under no pressure is much better

Only managed in poor leagues. No idea how you can judge it he’s any good.

I don’t think you can.

That’s the problem. Let’s say it takes him 6 months to get his methods into the players and playing how he wants, and it all goes wrong.. then we’re stuck, potentially in a relegation battle.

If we brought him in, in July, I wouldn’t be against it. But mid-Jan, in a relegation battle for me, is very dodgy, and I’d be uncomfortable.

It could go amazingly, but it could also be Terry Connor levels of awful.

I honestly don't even understand how his name even came in to consideration in the first place. There are a ton of other managers out there with much more experience than he has that aren't being even mentioned.

Supposedly he has links to Kia Joorabachian. Which then makes a lot of sense.
