Forest fan in peace... Is there an argument that relegation might be a good thing for Everton?

There are a few teams who have been down in the Championship and have bounced back to a position of strength, I think Villa spent a couple of seasons down there and they've rebuilt. Even if you didn't bounce back immediately, you're bound to be challenging for the top 6 and you'd think you could get promoted in 2/3 seasons. Winning games, good away days, no VAR and reconnecting with the fans in a new era with a new stadium might work in the Championship... Thoughts??

Point of order, it’s ‘Notts Forest’, not ‘Forest’.

Ok me duck?

No. Relegation is for loser clubs like Notts Forest.

Done them the world of good for those 30 years or whatever they wallowed down with the dregs

That's why I didn't refer to us (Forest) as an example. We're not a great example of bouncing straight back, but Villa, maybe even Bournemouth are teams that have had spells in the Championship and are now better equipped in the PL.

There`s a good few teams that have gone down and not bounced back up and just slowly continued sinking. With our money problems the last thing we need is to drop out of the PL and lose all the cash that being in it brings. We`d be seen as a very big fish in the championship and every game teams would be up for getting one over on us and as we saw yesterday our lot might look good when we are in control of things but at the slightest sign of the opposition getting on top we can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
