He's my gamble of the season
I also have 2.5 spare just in case it is needed.
I definitely think he'll improve his goals/assists this year. He's still young and has admitted that's a weakness in his game he wants to improve upon.
My main issue is picking the right Arsenal players. I'm not sold on Alexis Sanchez as he's been a bit meh in their pre season and doesn't look that sharp. It also looks like he's playing out wide and until Walcott is back that could be his position, instead of through the middle/as a striker as many hoped. On that note Giroud could be a good option, but I'm torn between him and Diego Costa, due to the price difference. Costa's stats are mental but forwards are rarely prolific under Mourinho. I'd expect him to bag a lot of assists, but I think the star player for Chelsea will be Fabregas who looks to be their new number 9.
I'd love to have Chelsea's number 1 goalkeeper but right now spending 6.0 on a keeper that isn't guaranteed to be number 1 is mad. With Mertesacker unfit it looks like Calum Chambers is a good temporary bargain, and Van Gaal's 3-5-2 also gives a lot of good value, with Smalling, Jones and Evans all affordable. Beyond that I'm struggling -- will Spurs use Davies or Rose as their left back? Both are 5.0 and whichever is number 1 will be great value.
Like Neiler I'm going with Lamela. Poccettino clearly rates him and I watched him the prior season in Serie A, and I think he really could break out this season. I'm going with Ramsey after refusing to back him last season until it was too late, as I thought it was merely a purple patch, however he has continued since he came back from injury to show he's got the ability to slot. However I'm torn on Cazorla as a cheap alternative; 8.5 for such a gifted player who's going to be starting seems like a potential bargain.
Rooney is the obvious choice right now up front. With RVP not 100% fit (I think) and him set to be named captain, plus played as an actual striker, he's going to rake in the goals and assists. I'm going to go with Costa, but I think it's a bigger gamble than most may realise. I'd love to have Lukaku but as he's not played a minute of pre season I'll wait. Other than that, Jovetic is my gamble as he's only 8.0 and Negredo is injured, Aguero's unfit and he's bagged a hatful of goals in pre season.
