Fantasy stadium

Completely implausible but how boss would it be to have a little man made island in the middle of the Mersey with boats going to and from it with a magnificient stadium surrounded by pubs and everton shops and hotdog stands and it'd just be like our little toffee paradise

Has the city of liverpool ever thought of hosting the commonwealth games ?

Boooom R/s didn't want to know, we get a city style deal for a stadium. With the money that Tata lot would get from providing the steel they could probably buy the club and still be in profit.

cats & pidgeons

I've thrown this idea out plenty of times Reidy, Get shot down very very quickly.

Something like Genoa's digs. It just has a very cozy/intimate feel to it...bit of the old, bit of the new.

Something like Juve's or Dortmunds. But a bit less concrete than how Juve's looks. The thing is we don't really need a 50,000 seater right now. A 40,000 with room for expansion. Something intimate but big with added Everton elements, not including restricted views! A museum with The Everton Collection at the stadium would be immense, then another museum of the usual stuff, club shop and all that gubbins.

Our smoke bombs are boss like. LOL

Hadn't seen that before

I take it the lids responsible got thrown out of the ground?

I remember seeing red smoke coming from the red****e fans in the derby a few months back... I think it's great to see, pity we have such jobsworth stewards and general rules at UK grounds that frown upon these things

That for me is probably the pinnacle of club stadiums in Europe. I'm not a big fan of identikit bowls, much prefer the traditional four stands.

For a club our size, something like Ibrox should be what we're looking at. 50-55k seater, massively increased corporate entertainment facilities, great views from anywhere in the ground.

Only problem is funding it.

Ironic as we had the same designer/architect.

Went to a lot of the brand spanking new stadia built for the 2010 WC in SA.
The difference between the good ones and the excellent ones had absolutely nothing to do with the external aesthetic. What matters is the acoustics and sound magnification, as well as the perception of crowd density. Tall, sharply rising stands (square stadium style) often produce this better than bowl stadiums.
Green Point stadium Cape Town does a magnificent job though (even though looks a bit like emirates)..

Dortmunds Stadium is for me without doubt the best in Europe. It gives me shivers when I look at it and realise what is at stake when we eventually get round to building ours. My heart sinks simply because Everton will never be able to afford to even attempt something on that scale and design

Wooden Stands, Valley Parade.

Ironic as we had the same designer/architect.

I think they did a bit of a rebuild since then mate.
