Probably because it's all true

Then they should make it 'official' then.

I understand Doogan and Co. putting lines out to the Echo for x or y subject.

But for a 2 night a year TV berk to be saying he's got the owner on speed dial and getting Snapchats from him or what ever, it's just mad.

Steve Parish is a very vocal owner, he was on 5Live last night being up front and honest about the Wilshere deal, how it came about and ultimately didn't work, how he felt the window had gone etc, giving their fans the info straight and up front.

Yet we're still clouded in mystery, presumably because the useless old guard are still involved at the highest level.

Its a breach of the club's communications policies.

OFFICIAL statements should be made by OFFICIAL channels. Via the club site. Official press releases etc.

Anyone sending messages to White - and if this is B Doogan need to pack it in.

Its complete amateurish and churlish and frankly annoying.
Thankfully we have the expert on football club communications posting on here to clarify everything.

For info...

It was Jim White presenting SSN when BK text apparently issued the statement on Stones going know where, via a text and then later on via the website last season.

It was also Jim White presenting at the time when Sky got the statement from Moshiri a week or two ago saying were delighted re Bolasie and pushing on.

My hunch is that this is someone at Everton who has a relationship with White, probably B Doogan and placing names next to it, i.e. BK/Moshiri.

Whether they need approval is another thing but nevertheless, its terribly naive on all accounts.
Seems plausible and if you're right I'd imagine that approval must be required. The lack of denial makes it now seem highly likely that it genuinely has come from inside the club.

Agree. We need an OFFICIAL statement by EFC on intentions.

Given the circumstances.

Doesn't have to be long. Or extremely detailed.

Something like 'EFC will continue recruitment during the January Window'

Simple.

the longer this scenario goes on,the more we start to worry about our new regime.

im starting to think this is going to be a complete shambles under moshiri.

i really hope im wrong

Then they should make it 'official' then.

Why would they need to come out with a statement saying "yeah what Jim White said is true" there's no point to confirm it if it's true

They only need to make a statement if it's indeed false which isn't looking likely

This can't all be legit, can it?

I personally don't think this smells like Kenwright or Elstone as much as we'd like to blame them. They historically have gone underground when things have gone bad and only resurfaced when the team brought supporter mood up.

After the "anxious for signings" stuff I do think this might be Moshiri. He doesn't know us yet, not really. He probably thinks the "we wanted to protect McCarthy" line will get over with the supporters.

Think this is a case for the Bizzaro boys to solve.

Nail on head Kev, whilst some lads will say the club don't need to come out and answer to us etc, etc, at this moment in time a lot of the fanbase are feeling crappy, also, the other problem is, with no game this weekend, this is just going to fester.

I think whether you are a rabid "Everyone Out" or a "Happy Clapper", or something between the two, (most), this episode is shambolic.

Everton have to clarify this. Even if it makes us look like tits for a day or two.

He's shot himself in the foot here

Firstly it looks like we publically don't rate McCarthy and want him out (now trying to patch things up with him)

And secondly it looks like we wasted the best part of the day concentrating on a transfer we apparently didn't want and we could have instead done deals elsewhere

So, with this statement....Jagielka, Baines, Lukaku, McCarthy, Barry, Coleman and whoever else was in the squad prior to Moshiri taking over, will not be dropped from the starting 11 and will never be sold and will retire here.

It's one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard.
