No one will be sad he's gone but I always maintained if he delivered the stadium and didn't relegate us in the progress then that counts as a success. We were always going to go through a sticky patch during any move. Sooner or later we would have faced this regardless.

777 was the biggest risk to his legacy and by luck we got away with it. But saying that it was probably Kenwright that caused that snowball. First he makes a massive deal the day MSP show up to the ground and then after that didn't work, his friends at R&M block the partial sale. Hmmm.

I think by the time he shuffles off this Earth we may have a different opinion. If the stadium is indeed a springboard back to where we believe we belong.
I do think history will be kinder to him but that's also something that tends to happen anyway as years pass.

My main feeling is one of immense frustration. He must feel far worse. All this has been done to death but in the final analysis Kenwright was his biggest obstacle and one that he wouldn't or couldn't overcome. That said he would still have needed competent people around him.

The stadium will be his legacy and would not have happened without him.
The pain of everything else with subsided over time would be interesting to know if he had his time over would he change anything or just that stubborn or naive to think otherwise
The low point of his tenure was the appointment of benitez a realisation for me that he knew absolutely nothing about Everton

Merry Christmas Evertonians. It’s finally over.

this fraud will go down in history as some kind of saviour, as a 'man who never relegated the club and built a stadium'

you can bank on it

in reality, what happened on his watch, with the funds he had available to him, was absolutely disgusting

TBF no one else was going to build a stadium were they.

He was an absolute abomination in how the club was run and he nearly sold up to a dodgy US pyramid scheme.

But he got the ball rolling on something that hanging over our club for decades so now his been gone a few months I can look back with a nuanced view rather than blind hatred I had a few months back
