Bill was all in for the tesco dome at Kirkby having refused the kings dock.

The worst chairman and owner we’ve had. A total embarrassment
It's terrifying what could have been. First by missing out on a stadium in the middle of town which would have been utterly transformative. And then the horror that would have been the flat pack nightmare on an industrial estate in Kirkby. Kenwright was a monster, history will rightly judge him as the monster he was. He very nearly killed this club.

I more than anyone gave him the stick he deserved over the years, but it's undeniable he has a place in this club's history with the new stadium he personally pushed through.

He deserves to be at the opening game next season to take the plaudits.
I agree...it's was absolutely crap under him but is influence on getting the ball rolling with BM can't be overlooked.

Yeah but was inspite of his ownership not because of him, and it was only qualification to the pre qualifying rounds. In years gone by it wasn’t an achievement getting 4th it was about winning stuff

Never understand this to be honest mate, conversely you can say every other achievement about every one else was in spite of someone. for example.

We built a stadium in spite of Moshiri.

Equally many are saying the stadium is an achievement, but that's not winning stuff either.

Well there are certain events (to my mind at least least) that are milestones in the football clubs history, winning trophies are smaller milestones, moving ground is a huge one.

Even though it ended in a horribly sour note, Moshiri coming to the club was the catalyst of the ground move. Without him coming to the club, I doubt we would have had a new stadium at all as Kenwright had proven time and again that he and his board weren’t able to achieve it. This ground move has nearly killed us in the end because of geo-political events outside of anyone’s control and because of some horrible decision making along the way by Moshiri et al.

Kenwright however was just a generation, of nothing. Just my opinion.
