TBF no one else was going to build a stadium were they.

He was an absolute abomination in how the club was run and he nearly sold up to a dodgy US pyramid scheme.

But he got the ball rolling on something that hanging over our club for decades so now his been gone a few months I can look back with a nuanced view rather than blind hatred I had a few months back

Erm. Yes, probably.

I think moshiri is still a more successful (read: less disasterous) owner than kenwright. Every Everton owner has a major milestone against their time in charge, except for kenwright. Admittedly, moshiri's achievement is the stadium and nothing related to the sport, but that's still more than kenwright achieved.

Qualified for the CL?

I truly believe that Moshiri had good intentions when he took over (which is more then I can say for the selfish old rat we used to have for a chairman). He was an utter disaster as an owner with no earthly idea what he was doing, but in fairness, nobody else was coming forward to get the stadium done. It was just a dream before Moshiri so fair play for getting it done. I wouldn't begrudge him being there for a game once its completed providing that he pays for both his membership fee and a ticket like the rest of us.

Kenwright was the least successful chairman in Everton history, unfortunately he won’t be remembered that way.

He was definitely here to help Usmanov wash a load of money in Liverpool Waters while he pocketed some as a bonus. His entire career told you what he was about. The second the war happened and Usmanov couldn't do that it all went legs up.

He got the stadium built but he really managed to cost himself, and nearly us, everything because he didn't have any long term financing set up with years to get it in place before the lending rates hit the roof.

Like multiple points deductions?

No sensible lender is going to want to get into bed with a bagman working for one of Putins best mates, hence we ended up with payday loan type things and the 777 debacle.

That's a major mark against him. In mitigation, we were looking ok until the russian sanctions kicked in and the premier league made an example of us (we made it easy for them).

There are many clubs who are in the same - if not worse - position to us. They have just put up more of a fight or belong to the sky 6, who always get a free pass.
