The one thing that keeps me on track is he had to give up his shares in Arsenal and he wouldn't have done that if his only motive was financial.

That's a good point that actually, why would he give up a safe seat at the top of the table where he is viewed in a positive light, to takeover a club that's been run shambolically for years and blag about a new stadium knowing full well the untold grief that deception will cause him. He could've just sat in the background letting the whole Walton Hall Park smokescreen run its course and blamed the previous regime when it came to nothing. Just getting a new stadium on the docks and raising our profile is a giant leap in the right direction and more that's been achieved in Decades if he manages to pull it off. He's only been here months not years!

And we've made a lot of progress in that time.

Ok the window didn't work out as anticipated by the club, but the progress off the field is huge.

Koeman and his coaching team, Steve Walsh as DoF; confirmation of one of the world's leading stadium architects involved in the new stadium, widely reported agreement on site subject to planning permission and confirmation of satisfaction of long term debt.

Then there's the refurbishment of Goodison, reduction in season ticket prices, the continued great work of EiTC, the magnificent gift of £200,000 to Bradley Lowery.

We're having to catch up on the total lack of investment since the Sir John Moores days whilst all our peers raised and spent £100's of millions.

We're on our way back to the top of the game, but it's going to take a bit of time.

I accept it will take time. But we are just treading water as we stand. The boardroom additions are unusual and perception looks like Bill just giving jobs to all his mates.

I hope the stadium plan is in safe hands as it's crucial. Bad windows are poor and deeply frustrating but there's always another in 6 months. Bad stadium decisions stick with us probably for the rest of our days.

Christ. He's been here about 6 months.

I can understand why a lot of blues have the "believe it when I see it" attitude, especially after so many years of disappointment under BK. But some on here are so negative it borders on paranoia. They just aren't prepared to give the guy a chance.

On a different note, is anybody else having problems logging onto the sky fantasy football site this morning?

Overall I'm still happy with we're we seem to be going under Moshiri. Not happy with the transfer window but do believe the intent was there. Some of the negative comments in the new stadium thread are hard to fathom given where we were before Moshiri came along. And happy with what he has done with the management side with Koeman and Walsh and getting rid of RM. Think the latter should have been done sooner, but if Mosh wasn't here then I believe RM still would be, and that would have been disastrous.

But he has done things I have to question. I'm really not happy with what's happening at board level and it does give me cause for concern. Also, I just don't understand the whole Jim White business.

The one thing that keeps me on track is he had to give up his shares in Arsenal and he wouldn't have done that if his only motive was financial.
What's changed exactly, mate?

Until we actually start to see these things, it is nothing more than hopeful speculation.

Also, the man is interfering in transfer business. We can't sign anybody now, because it might disrupt the 'family'.

Outside of all the overhyped enthusiasm at the start, he has failed to deliver on what we all thought he would.

I may be wrong but, to answer this.

Martinez binned

Martinez' staff binned

Koeman and staff employed + all fees incurred in the above

Goodison getting a make over

Clear and undeniable progression on the new stadium

The first team improved in 4 positions.

Not bad for 6 or 7 months.

Keep crying though.

Any owner worth his salt would have sacked Martinez and his staff. His position was untenable at the end.

Goodison getting a bit of tarpaulin over it is hardly reason to celebrate, is it?

Where is the evidence we have made clear progression on a new stadium? We've been in this position many times before and let down.

As far as we know, we're yet to decide a location.

Finally, if we don't win tomorrow (that would the 6th time on the bounce), we could soon drop down to mid table.

We will be able to see his level of ambition in the January transfer window. We had a zero net spend on the back of the most lucrative TV deal in history, so there should be a shed load of money to spend just from that, never mind the so far non-existent investment in the playing squad from Moshiri. So if there is no expenditure and we start hearing a load of David Moyes 2011 excuses about there being no value in the market, then we know that he isn't the real deal that some people are making him out to be.

The stuff about decorating the exterior of Goodison Park is neither here nor there imo, it's just like Kenwright introducing blue gravel round the pitch in 2000 and putting up a timeline a few years later. It's no big deal at all. Moving to a new stadium would be a big deal, but we support a club that has been pretending to be in the process of building a new stadium for at least 10 years. So it's a bit difficult to get excited about new stadium plans when we have been subjected to so many pretend ones over the years.

Hey mate, I'm just giving a balanced view rather than the two polarised opinions that seem to dominate this thread. It ain't all good but neither is it all bad. I've already given my opinons in the post.

As regards the new stadium thread, all the pre Moshiri posts were about WHP and the stand off between Anderson and Elstone. Typical Everton. Now we're talking about a shiny new stadium on the waterfront and top American architects visiting Liverpool. Even though it's just talk at this stage at least it's positive and exciting talk. I'm not naïve enough to believe it's a done deal and there are many things that can happen to stop it going through. But that doesn't mean that it definitely won't happen which is a view many on here have.

And the "family" point is all part of the Jim White issue which I've already said I don't get.

Well there's nothing I can say to that. You clearly have convinced yourself he's a bad owner and are giving him credit for nothing. Maybe his X button on his PS4 controller was broke when it was time to approve the Messi deal.

So

Sacked a manager and employed a new one

Sold Stones for 50m and spent that money on new players

What a hero

This thread will tend to fluctuate with the 1st team results. Bit of negativity creeping in but nothing, us being in the top 6 at christmas won't put right.

Think a little bit of communication would stop a lot of anxiety. We were told by BB that FM had made his dreams come true. Well by now, he should have communicated to us a little of how he is presently or in the future, going to help make our dreams come true as BB suggested at the same time.

Possibly two reasons both of which I am happy to have blown out of the water:

1. Moshiri is the new great friend to Everton and will sit in the background letting BK call the shots

2. He is in fact hanging around until AU sails his yacht to BMD

I don't want to know the full ins and outs but a little information would be good. Whatever it is the communication is appalling and frustrating to the fans who are paying a good wedge to watch. May be all will be revealed at the AGM.

This bit in bold.

It really is annoying the way the new regime has made little or no effort to enthuse the fans or set out any coherent vision for the future.

The only announcements we hear seem to be about cronyism at board level.
