I'll hold my hands up and say I became sceptical of the Mosh after the £0 net spend and J White text. That's after the initial enthusiasm the aggressive acquisition of RK had engendered.
Delighted and relieved to see confirmation of his 'Abramovitch style' loan of £80m.
There must now be much more justified optimism for player investment and a new stadium.
I would also observe that this type of loan adds more weight to the rumour of Russian backing though the official position of denial will undoubtedly remain the same for now at least.

The significance of it is two fold, as I see it anyrate.

1. Obvious improvement in the balance sheet due to debt free and no repayments.

2. Improved balance sheet makes arranging funding for a stadium both "easier" and possibly cheaper.

Same difference in having a mortgage, or owning your house outright.

....the economics, the governance is all complicated. What isn't complicated is a really good football team, please make that happen.

Clearing some of the more serious debts, and putting the club on a competitive financial footing, is gonna be a big help in getting a great side on the field.

No i think the TV money is all that has been spent as well as stones sale, mosh made a profit in summer as well as lineing himself up with no debt and a clear run of things so he can pocket 100mil tv money a year, with giving some back.

He is here to make a profit and he doesn't need to spend his own money, it would be nice for him to spend his own money but don't forget if we have a stadium the club will be generating a lot of money with naming rights adds etc and we will be making him a cash cow if we don't hold his feet to the fire and demand accountability, things like Phil green and bill should be looked into and we need to get bill and elstone out so only Mr Moshiri is accountable so we can not have disasters like the summer and move forward after decades of bill doing nothing.

although Fellaini money was spent well, we recently have had two 11th place finishes and signings gone right down the pan to the extent we are struggling to get our garbage : Niasse Kone off the books while adding Valencia means no ambition in my eyes.
