OK yes we're not being held back from spending 200 million quid because of compliance, but the point is the only place 200 million quid would come from is out of Moshiri's pocket.
We have spent more than the Stones money plus the increase in TV money. If we didn't then why did Moshiri have to give us an 80 million quid injection? The money has been spent on signing players and wages, plus the compo fees for Martinez and Koeman. Not to mention that we haven't received all of the TV money yet as we have an outstanding share of the 25% merit payments to be paid out to us.
"The statements from Bill were the one's about things never being the same again, the one's about Moshiri wanting more signings than Bill and so on and so on."
This is all vague. There's nothing specific in anything they've said to influence my expectations. The only people those with high expectations that haven't been met yet have to blame for that is themselves. Nobody's come out and said we're going to be marching up the table and spending cash like its going out of style. They've referred to it as a project and it is going to take time. People have let themselves get their expectations out of hand there has been so very little from the club, Moshiri, or Kenwright to give them these expectations.
My only expectation is that we perform and compete better than before. Anyone holding Moshiri up as a saviour is counting their chickens.
You've got a point about Moshiri speaking out about Koulibaly, but that is the only thing I think anyone can reasonably point to as a reason for inflated expectations.
I think so many of the people who are disappointed right now have read into things that weren't said by anyone.
