Pretty sure that the negative net spend proponents are on a wind-up here.
That the last 2 transfer windows have led to positive net spend on transfer fees is true.
Shifting the goal posts by arguing that 30 mil has been either received in loan fees/saved in wages is plain mad.
Look at who's left and for how long.
Geri, Cleverley and Niasse left at varying times in January, so if they average 50k each, thats 7.8mil x 5/12 = 3.15 mil.
McGeady gone 9 months so if he's on the rumoured 50k, 9/12 x 2.6 mil = 1.95 mil.
I'll even throw in Howard, Pienaar Osman, Hibbert at 153k per week combined, so 11/12 x 153000x 52= 7.293 mil.
Add them up and it comes to 12.403 mil
Players in.
Bolasie reputed to be 75k per week, 9/12 x 3.9 = 2.925 mil
Williams reputed to be 70k, 9/12 x 3.64 mil = 2.73 mil
Gana reputed 45k a week, 9/12 x 2.34 mil = 1.755 mil
Valencia, 40k, 9/12 x. 2.08 mil = 1.560 mil
Schneiderlin 120k (really???), 6.24mil x 4/12 = 2.08 mil
Lookman 23.5 k, 1.222 mil × 4/12 = 0.407 mil.
Stekelenberg, 25k, 1.3x9/12 = 0.975 mil
Total that lot and you get 12.432 mil, so about parity.

If I've missed any player out, I apologise, but they were probably too insignificant in terms of money to be bothered.

So you agree with the minus 5.9m?

I like Moshiri. I think he'll be great for us off field.
Those promoting the argument that Usmanov, or someone approaching similar wealth, wouldn't be able to do any more at Everton on field so far needs to look at the last few pages.
We won't compete with the top clubs financially.

VVD £40m

Total spent £151.6m

Positive net spend of £64.1m

Shopping was rubbish, they had hardly anything left.

You've got your figures wrong here mate. I've amended them above.

That's just the deals already done too. After we buy Ronaldinho and Wayne Bridge I think we'll be well over the £100m net spend mark.

The papers were right the whole time.

It's almost as if, for some, one billionaire is not enough.

I reckon Usmanov will arrive though.

If Usmanov has offered a 30% premium to SK on what he paid our Moshiri, you can assume he's not arsed about spending his cash.

Our hope would be that SK keeps flat out refusing and Usmanov realises it's time to throw that billion quid at us.

We'd overtake Arsenal within two years.

This at 12.27 am. Impressive. On a saturday night sun morn as well. At least you didnt wake up with a hangover this morn unlike me

This is a disgusting performance, and it should show Farhad what is needed.

We need a 100m positive net spend and anything less than that is unacceptable. Less rhetoric and bluff, more action starting tomorrow morning.
