I'll approve anyone brought in who has managerial experience and looks to get a team playing good football. Silva would fall into that category.

They agree Silva is a worthy manager for us: Brands and Moshiri both. It should have been done by now but we have to wait for the hullabaloo of the CL final circus to fade before announcing it. That's decision to stall this process in order to have Brands seen to be the man choosing/ratifying the decision on Silva has basically cost us a fortnight we can ill afford to lose.
Oh, so you think Silva has something else to do hes spending his time with? That its been agreed for some time, and he knows where hes going and the situation, and is just sitting around twiddling his thumbs because he hasnt officially started yet? Much like Brands is doing right now despite his contract starting on June 1st?

Yes.

I think we have to look at Silva not on his own but as part of a Brands Silva axis. It will be interesting to see if we can make a DoF/coach system work. If Moshiri pulls this of and puts money in we could be in for an exciting time.
What is it that kills?

surely these days, transfers in / out are discussed for weeks / months through the agent?
i'm not saying it doesn't happen, but the days of a club making a bid, having it accepted and agreeing terms with the player and completing the transfer over the weekend are long gone.
We should have a list of "targets" that we have been working on for months shouldn't we?
Lads?

Yes Tony, thats how it works.

Modern scouting is about data, data and data.

We have all the data.

Seems to happen quick enough on the final day.
