Chose the wrong managers. Are we better off than Martinez's time

No.

Apart from the fact we were actually a better football team for most of Bobby’s time here, he was operating on a small, almost non existent budget.

Back then we all believed a bit of investment from a billionaire was all we needed to make the great leap forward.

For me, the most dispiriting thing about Everton these days is the fact that we got the billionaire but on the pitch we appear to be going backwards.

And that hurts.

I feel so disconnected as a fan right now.

pains me to say that.

He needs to cull the backroom staff at all levels of the club and let Brands bring in who he wants.

No more jobs for ex players that are not merited. Especially not ex players who played in hopeless teams full of perennial losers.

We need a cultural sea change in the club. Pressure to succeed needs to be really ramped up. There needs to be fear of defeat. There needs to be accountability and repercussions for failure.

I think this as well.

It was apparent after the Pickford derby that current Everton players have bought into the “Everton that” mindset of negativity and fatalism when our goalie alluded to our “luck” in derbies.

My first reaction was to bin all ex players off’ve the backroom team.

If we had a Moyes type manager from the outset of Moshiri era and kept making shwered deals. Our stadium would he built and made of gold. And we'd be a more respectable better football team.

The past three years with Moshiri in charge in a nutshell:

  • spends and wastes the club's own generated cash (unprecedented player sales + massive tv revenue increases amounting to hundreds of millions of pounds) on hiring clueless coaches and DoFs who have then gone on to waste the vast majority of said hundreds of millions of pounds on utter dross
  • adds uninspiring figures to the board
  • oversees the club's status plummeting to a low not seen since Johnson was the owner
  • initiates a stadium scheme that lurches from one unmet deadline to another and which shows little prospect of getting off the ground
  • buys up club debt that leaves him in total command of the club
I see no way forward under him. He's proven to be a massively wasteful and disruptive influence on the club. His takeover has been a complete failure if takeover's are (correctly) judged on the boost they give to a football club. We've regressed in his time here, not progressed.

Come on Dave asked your before what is the way forward? and under who?

im waiting for Moshiri to sack Silva AND Brands, saying it was Brands that wanted Silva and he has not been impressive in his own job.

nothing would surprise me.

NOTHING
He needs to sack Silva at the end of the season but needs to leave Brands to choose the next manager, im sure with his promotion to the board Moshiri must have faith in him

Anyone who thinks Moshiri isn't hurting with the financial losses are mental, blame him for his mistakes but has he not moved to correct every one of them when not going well. He has appointed Brands and moved him up, this tells me now that he has realised there is more to running a football club than money. I have every faith that Marcel Brands is THE man now on the football front. At least give Moshiri credit for rectifying his mistakes and hopefully learning from them.

His biggest mistake was keeping Bill around from the start and not stamping his ownership on the Club from the off. Kenwright didn't have a lot of good grace left with fans, he should have gone the moment he was bought out.

I think to get fans onboard Moshiri needs to do what Delia Smith did for Norwich and give a rousing speech on the pitch at half time at Goodison, definitely endear himself if he did that I reckon.
