Moshiri did not intend to sack Silva today, Brands had insisted it would be the wrong decision because the club is trying to change for the long-term, mostly in terms of mindset. Stability is what he insists is needed, that supporters would calm down and things would right themselves in a few months.

Old Blue Bill and DBB got in his ear and convinced him the manager had to go, that the club needed a figure to unite the fans (e.g. Ferguson).

The players wanted to stick with Silva and told him as much in the meeting, he appeared to agree with them so they left thinking his trip there to speak with them had all been a bit pointless. Then those amateurs stick their two cents in and get him to go against what Brands and the players told him. The players are in total shock and Brands is steaming mad for being overruled. He'll be gone very soon as well.

Everton Football Club ladies and gentleman. Well done to the people who clapped that man in 2011 when a group of supporters tried to tell the world what a disease he and his stooges are.

lol

He started the day at 1/20 to be sacked having lost 9 out of 15 games.

I am sure they were very very shocked.

Oh no we might lose Brands oh no

Oh, one more thing to go ahead and get out of the way.

If, in the likely event, that Kenwright/Moshiri/whoever happens to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory that this opportunity presents - that does not mean that Silva deserved more time. It will just be another failed experiment - like Silva was.

Brands is starting to appear clown-like, if true.
Because of COURSE he should have final say over the majority shareholder, despite leaving us with no decent striker or second CB or a midfield that requires Tom Davies to play. Oh, and Iwobi for £35m.

Gosh we will miss Brands.

He's the Director of Football, if he isn't getting the final say on football matters at the club why is he even there?!

He signed Digne, Mina, Richarlison, Bernard and Moise Kean, all of whom were wanted by other clubs around Europe. Other than not replacing Zouma he's been great since coming in.

now come on, stop telling fibs.

Iwobi wasn’t 35m and he did buy Gbamin, Delph and Gomes all for midfield. Not his fault all 3 are goosed.

And he wanted to keep a terrible manager. I'm ok with not giving him latitude on that decision.

Needs to be heading to Madrid to engage with Diego Simeone and his representatives...that's what I would do if I was a billionaire and loved Everton Football Club and wanted a return on my investment.

Where u getting that from? Paul Joyce in his article here, https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/everton-sack-marco-silva-and-turn-to-duncan-ferguson-vlwmfswzk
, says that Silva wasn't even brought up in the team meeting.

Wanted to keep for the time being, probably until the summer because yet another mid-season sacking causes more instability and makes the job even harder to sell to other managers. Doubt Silva was getting an extension or going to go into his final year. Brands doesn't want Moyes, if it is him he'll walk of that I'd bet the barn.
