He’s backed the wrong people but he’s hired them and therefore it’s his fault.

We are saddled with dross due to this.

You can’t say he’s not put his money here his mouth is, but not backing Carlo Ancelotti now would be another one of our great missed opportunities since 1995.

That’s my take on it.

tbh hindsight wasn't needed when he employed the gravy slurping Allardyce. Anyone who thought that was a good idea needs to give themselves a proper good slap.

Multiple times.

Moshiri include.

I would extend that rationale to the hiring of Silva as well.

Who on earth thought relentlessly headhunting him on the basis of the ten months he had worked in England was a good idea?

Initially K I could see the attraction, done ok at Hull and started off well at Watford. When their form fell off a cliff though and he had the chance to completely walk away along with Brands coming in, that would have been the ideal time to walk away.

I've got a feeling he gave Silva his word that he'd come back for him in the summer so kept his word regardless.

Still, if he hadn't of been so crap, Duncan would never have taken over when he did, got the results that he did and we would never have Ancelotti so it's all turned out to be a positive. Ancelotti is a far better manager than I thought we would be bale to get, so it was worth the pain of Allardyce and Silva to finally land a top manager.

Disagree tbh, He shouldn't have gave Allardyce money to spend in the market but that season it was the first time I genuinely felt we could get relegated, I thought it was the correct appointment given the circumstances, I think Moshiri has been unlucky that promising people like Koeman and Walsh have badly let him down, Silva was his own fault so he gets no sympathy for that cause he was a meh gamble.

I think once he'd hired Allardyce he had to give the fella money otherwise he would have just moaned publicly about not being backed.

I think my mum would have kept us up tbh as well mate ;)

Gravy teet suckling corrupt bent cretin Allardyce is what he is, but he did the job that was expected. Get us safe any means neccessary. Can't blame Mosh for it really. Could maybe question giving him £50m but it is what it is.

It has always seemed to me that Moshiri has tried his best to be a people-pleaser. With Silva, I actually think he wanted to say he got us the next big name in management, and that it was HIS choice, after it all had worked out, of course.

He has tried a bit of everything with regard to the managers job now.

I've have always thought his intentions towards us have been honourable and decent from the beginning - but he shouldn't meddle in football.

The problem now is if Moshiri doesn't decide - who does? Brands is hardly proving himself in his job either.

Ancelotti is the perfect appointment for them both - it gets both men off the hook.
