sometimes you have to strip it down to build it up, relegation may be what's required for people to star asking serious question about the management of Everton and in particular the role of the spectacularly inept Kenwright.

But what if we are down there for 16 years like Leeds or just come straight back up then use the TV money to balance the books like Newcastle always do?.

Kenwright with Moshiri's cash. That would have been a better option than Moshiri with Moshiri's cash.

Bill was rightly vilified by many fans (me included), because he stood in the way of off-field interest in EFC. But he was very good at leading the organisation - he hired two good managers (Moyes was good in the sense he was sensible and what we needed at that time in 2002; and Roberto handed us a dream for a while and wanted to play the Everton Way). And money was spent wisely in his time here by managers.

The difference between Kenwright's overseeing of the football side of the club and Moshiri's is stark.

£16m on Niasse
£12m on Funes Mori
£6.5m on Kone
£10m on Andy Johnson
£9m on Bily
£8m on AVD

We just have more money these days not that we didn't make transfer errors in the past.

Over the course of 14 years if those are the worst signings then we did well....and I'd add Beattie and Kroldrup too.

I was more talking about the fees for said players in their respective climates. All regimes have made mistakes and had successes.
All regimes might...but the Moshiri regime has wasted half a billion.

It's an outrageous loss. And in just 4 years.
