"Anonymous -2 points Come on then buddy which not hilarious previously banned user are you please 3 minutes ago "

All of them, son, all of them. You can take points away from me, but you can't take my pints.

I believe you, no ones takes your pints away from you.... but someone really should.

nice to see two homosexuals in @MarcelsGoat and @bicycleheader bumming each other as they think their 'middle finger' means they are better Evertonians than me.

That's failing to see how much easier it was back then. Say Kenwright was transformed back to his 2002 self and was put in charge now he'll have us relegated in next to no time. The competition has stepped up, before there was a top 4, now that is 6 teams. All with massive budgets compared to us. The cup finals are the same teams year upon year. The game has changed so you can't use the same stick to compare.
The tv cash has exploded since 2002. The spending by Moshiri has largely been PL/club generated.

Face it: we were more competitive under Kenwright than Moshiri when we've had more cash...that's because we've had much worse footballing decision making.

I'm not talking about that Dave, yes there has been a cash explosion so that would have increased our spending regardless of Moshiri (though other clubs with higher incomes are not spending as much as us), but the fact is we were always going to finish higher back then than now. City were a joke and Spurs could always be relied to have some sort of crisis. Wolves have shown you can break into that little group but they have been run very well. Burnley and Sheffield show that hard working teams can get to the mid table and that is what Kenwright's Everton would have been in this day and age. 9/10th is the new 5th.
