To make it rain by securing some prime riverside real estate.

Once the stadium goes up, that place will thrive, there will be lots of money to be made.

Call me naive, but I think his goals have changed, I think his main focus was to invest in us and make money off the back of the stadium, but the figures hes pumped in, I don't even see him getting his money back off from us at this point.

Clearly the clubs value will go through the roof when the stadium is built, but we really need success to make us attractive.

I think his goal currently is to test his accounting skills to the limit and turn water into wine to give Carlo money.

Basically I think his main focus was money at the start, but now I think he just really wants to turn us into a successful club.

Naive, I know, but a man whos goal is it to make money, doesn't squander as much money as hes done.

There's no way he views Everton as a conventional way of making money in the sense we would know it. You don't leave the people in charge he has left in charge if thats your singular aim.

I suspect Everton is a means to an end. As you property, influence, authority, control are all part of it.

I'll also say, if a foreign country, say Russia, wanted to launder Russian money into western notes, a football club would be a very very handy way of doing that. It has nothing to do with Everton of course, just an unrelated an abstract point.

Doesnt Moshiri have connections to the group that bought the Liver Building as well?

Too busy a few years to retain every morsal of info, but reasonably sure its the case.

The Liver Building is their first venture into the British property market
Surprised they chose Liverpool over London ...............or maybe I am not

Well thats one intepretation certainly.

Officially, what we have is that Usmanovs company can now sponsor Everton for any value and not even be investigated by UEFA, as Moshiri's shares in said company have now been bought out so they are now under the level that makes the two businesses "related partners".

This is also been done alongside Moshiri pumping up to £250m more into the club and guarenteeing himself greater equity (purchasing shares at a lower value).

You could say that Usmanov has merely used Moshiri as a vehicle as a vessel to get money into the club and has done so in a way that will allow him to invest in the sponsorship at high levels and thus double the mount the club has and circum-navigate the FFP rules.

Or you could say it is just a series of coincidences and that Usmanov felt the need to buy out Moshiri, who also at the moment felt the need to do a share issue for the club to give it much needed funds, and the new shareholding he had in USM has just coincidentally fallen below the "related parties" level for FFP.

It's up to everyone which of those they believe, they are just two scenario's of course.

As an aside, Ryzanstev has said they regularly speak to UEFA too re FFP. I wonder if inthose conversations they found said convenient loophole? Or if thats just another coincidence. If it is, he isn't half a lucky bloke that Moshiri isn't he?
Very few lucky billionaires .millionaires yes ,Billionaires no
As you say its all a coincidence :celebrate::celebrate::celebrate:

Just a bunch of unrelated coincidences.

If the area has the development that say Canary whafr has, or even the waterfront in your beck of the woods in Bristol has had, I do wonder what price that building would be worth then? An absolute fortune.

Like you say, pure coincidence. One of those things.

On Canary Wharf, the accepted wisdom is that "some" of that was funded by the Brinks Mat job.

When stadium gets PP and then think on with regard to Liverpool Docks development with Peel, Moshiri and Co may have ambitions.
