Simon is missing the whole point that these big 6 don’t want relegation from this new league. This is the whole point in why they want to create it. They want their money secure.
Of course it will...disappointingly there will be no consequences for those 6clubs. For me backtracking at this stage is not enough. There has to be a penalty so that next time clubs do things properly through the correct channels. Ideally they should be suspended of any European competition next year at the very least and make to apologise profusely to ALL football fans.Chelsea apparently getting cold feet already'Its not what we signed up for' ' Announcement was not cleared by the 12 .' This could all be a flash in the pan, dead by July.
Still should get points deductions and banned from Europe for a season, though I know that probably doesn’t happen.Chelsea apparently getting cold feet already'Its not what we signed up for' ' Announcement was not cleared by the 12 .' This could all be a flash in the pan, dead by July.
In the manner of KK, I would love it, let me tell you, absolutely love it if that happens, they deserve to be well punished for this.If this goes through or not the 6 clubs should be severely punished for pursuing it and not hefty fines. Massive Points deductions over the next 3 years and transfer bans
No, they wouldn't have been the slightest bit interested, but I'll have a pint of what you're having. He could have knocked up a flat pack stadium full of corporate boxes on the M62 the minute he walked through the door. He could have had David Moyes on low wages keeping us in the league every season developing assets for him to sell so he could make the club sustainable. He could have financed the whole thing on debt saddled on the club then taken out of the profits.
Instead he is ploughing money into the club at a huge personal cost to himself to give Everton a world class stadium, pay for a world class manager, and fund recruitment as best as possible. He doesn’t need to do any of these things if he was only interested in making money.
Yes he’s an investor, but you can only judge someone on what they do. People keep saying we haven’t been asked to the super league. Given the problems they are likely to have setting this up do you not think if we had offered to join with all of Usmanov’s wealth behind us, one of the richest clubs in the world, a huge premier league figure which would further give them legitimacy and undermine opposition from the PL, a club with a good reach in obscure markets like Columbia, Thailand, Nigeria, Australia, South Africa, do you not think they would have bitten our hand off?
Are we trying to punish them or force them to leave? We should be encouraging them to stay not giving them more reasons to goIf this goes through or not the 6 clubs should be severely punished for pursuing it and not hefty fines. Massive Points deductions over the next 3 years and transfer bans

It fits the international quota. If they'd wanted us they would have asked us. But why would they? Have we won anything recently? No. Have we competed in the champions league or even Europe recently? No. Were half of the premier league's players even born the last time we won a cup nevermind the league? No.They wanted Red Bull Leipzig in. They’d definitely take us.
You being serious? You cannot be that naive. He could have knocked up a flat pack stadium full of corporate boxes on the M62 the minute he walked through the door. Everything you have stated is about him increasing the value of the asset. He’s an investor not a philanthropist. Does he get genuine joy from seeing Everton win? Yes. All these owners do. But these ain’t Jack Walker types with an emotional attachment to the club. It’s all financially driven. Moshiri was very recently at Arsenal, he went to Everton as wasn’t able to gain the foothold he wanted at Arsenal.
This “super” league guarantees an absolute fortune for the clubs involved. The thought that Moshiri would turn this down is hilarious.
There is nothing to be proud of Everton today, just as there is nothing to be disgusted by the six clubs in this proposed breakaway. It’s not about the clubs, this is owner driven. The owners are merely custodians (or they should be) who have become parasites.
No, We shouldn’t be encouraging them to stay they should all be punished and called out for what they are.Are we trying to punish them or force them to leave? We should be encouraging them to stay not giving them more reasons to go
In other words, we're a bit like Spurs????It fits the international quota. If they'd wanted us they would have asked us. But why would they? Have we won anything recently? We're really not a big catch in 2021
I think he is putting out the sensible counter argument - not so much agreeing with it just where they stand. You negotiate from we'll do this which is completely unreasonable and then end up after negotiations with something not quite as damaging but way more has been conceded by the authorities than previously thought possible.
For a lot of yesterday's program he was saying that you either have salary caps or they have to push for control over incomes. Subscription based football basically so the big clubs take the lions share I'd imagine is the end goal here.
