Not saying you're wrong. Far from it. But a fella owns his very own premier league football club and isn't considered a football man. Mad world.
Some owners can make the right football decisions but there's a reason he wanted a director of football from day 1.

What stadium ?
If you’re referring to BMD, it’s currently only an approved planning permission still needing the appropriate license to humanely remove the fish from the dock AND the all important funding.

Behave will yer. Are you rying to suggest that there is no momentum at all behind this scheme or that it is likely to fail? The govt has approved the plans ffs. Or are you being 'sarcastic', in the Trump sense of the word?

Not suggesting anything, merely stating where things are at this moment in time.

Plans approved - yes.
Fish removed - no.
Funding secured - no.
Can work begin - no.

I’m discussing moshiris suitability or otherwise
What criteria do you use when talking about the suitability of an owner ?

Is it wealth?
Is it success ?
Is it a life long love of the club?
Is it someone prepared to invest, but only if they invest wisely...who determines that?
Is it someone who would not risk investment but let the club trundle along as it has done for thirty years?

Maybe it needs to be someone even richer than the Usmanov/ Moshiri connection.

Moshiri has made lots of expensive mistakes but will hopefully learn from those. I doubt anyone will make the argument that he is not intelligent.
What he probably lacks is football knowledge but appears to now be leaning heavily on Brands for that.

I just am not clear what a suitable owner is when compared to Moshiri?

What attributes he has that the current owner doesn't?

An ability to delegate effectively, to set up structures in the club whereby he doesnt feel he has to meddle directly in managerial appointments/transfers - and then if he did feel he had no option but to involve himself, make good choices.

He has failed on both counts.

You have a point on the first of these criteria, as he does appear to have meddled in managerial appointments. But going for Koeman and Ancelotti the way he did, balls out, was also impressive, as he wouldn't be deterred. The question mark on both those guys is their commitment, but you wouldn't find fault with Moshiri if Carlo had been true to his word and persevered with us.

Crucially, you fail to mention the financial support. Given that football clubs are money pits, surely Moshiri's most positive contribution has been the financial one? Basically, he has bankrolled manager after manager, indulging their player targets, and also provided solid support to drive through on the stadium plans. For the financial element alone he deserves massive plaudits.

Moshiri consulting with Brands over the next appointment...
